I am loving Dior. Recently, they are ubiquitous! Whoever their
advertising person is definitely deserves a party to celebrate their success. Their covergirl, Natalie Portman, is gorgeous and the perfect representation of
the Dior girl. And she's Jewish! (As my grandmother would say.)
Their new commercial is ingenious!
The first time I saw it, the song was immediately stuck in my head (Heavy Cross
by Gossip). And when I heard it in my dance class the next day, I bought it on
iTunes and have been obsessed with it to an extent that I can't go a day
without humming it. Although, I'm still not sure if they are saying "Without
joy, I chose Dior" or "Without your, I chose Dior" or something
else. Comment if you know the answer!
But anyway, the commercial. The
shortened TV version is amazing but if you watch it on youtube, the full version is just magical. Maybe I'm just a sucker for
from-another-planet-beautiful fashion icons, but seeing so many famous fashion
figures in one place is, to me, fantastic.
Their website (www.dior.com) is the
most organized, modern, appealing fashion designer house website that I have
ever visited.
Dior's 2013 spring-summer
collection is breath-taking to boot. They
posted it so they actually make it easy to find, rather than other designers
who I had to search youtube for. Tsk tsk.
I hand it to Dior for their
impressive work. Keep it up!
More,
Amanda
