My Favorite Awards Show!! (Next to the Oscars and Emmys)

The Grammys!!
Although there is no official red carpet for the Grammys, (silently sobbing in the corner) it is still... the Grammys. And I will still be your sillouette sleuth for the night! (don't you like the sound of that? I should trademark it before I put it somewhere public. Uh oh, too late).
Cut outs are huge! Exhibit A is Kelly Rowland's Georges Chakra dress.
It may be a little controversial seeing as this is a kids' show, but the flattering a-symetric lines make up for that. Sort of.
And did you see Alicia's incredible performance? Playing the drums and singing and the same time? TV genius! She has officially made my Top 20 coolest celebs list.
Buns are in too!! Buns! Funny buns! BUNNY BUNS! Sorry I have to control myself :). JLo sported a high bun with her EXTREMELY revealing dress. geez. She might be the most beautiful woman in the world, but a slit that large is something nobody can pull off. So lets just pay attention to the buns...
And while we are on hair... I am delighted to notice that bangs are all over! T Swizzle, Carly Rae, Jennifer Hudson, Lea Michele, etcetera etcetera. As a former wearer of the fringe, I am elated that they are back in style, and if you want to grow yours back to be trendy, a quicker, easier way is to fake it! *Gasp! Did she really just say fake bangs?!* Yes, yes I did. And Michelle Phan, the youtube makeup goddess, has just the solution. Here is her video tutorial.
Can we talk about viewing this in high definition? Or just high definition in general? I am privileged to be watching on a HD screen, but sometimes the close screenshots are anything but flattering. I'm the kind of person who wants to be starstruck when seeing stars on TV. I don't want to be able to see Rihanna's frizz or Carly Rae Jepsen's arm fat. Just putting that out there.
Mmmm. All this fashion talk is making me hungry. I think I will have a freshly baked leftover halloween candy cookie. Doesn't that sound yummy? Picture a fat, chunky cookie with the occasional Reeses cup  or M&M.

Oh Mah Gawd! I LOVE Bruno Mars!!!!!!! Locked Out of Heaven makes me want to get up and jump all over the place like the swooning teenager I am. Maybe one day when it is appropriate to date someone that is fourteen years older than me and he discovers me via this blog, he will sweep me away on a romantic vacation in Hawaii (his home town). Sorry I'm turning this into Amanda's matchmaking special but just one more thing. Who is this cutie that I keep seeing in the audience? I internet stalked and found out that he is Hunter Hayes, an American country music singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist. He is signed to Atlantic Records Nashville, and released his self-titled debut album in October 2011. (Thanks wikipedia). Until now I haven't been the least bit partial to country music, but maybe I will have to change that...What did you guys think of Taylor Swift's opening performance. To be honest I liked her better before she went all Valley girl "Weeeee r nevr evr evr getting bak 2gether! Like evr."  Please.
I love the lyrics to Ed Sheeran's song A Team. "And they say she's in the class A team stuck in her daydream been this way since 18 but lately her face seems slowly sinking, wasting crumblings like pastries and they scream the worst things in life come free to us."
Oooh and I have to mention Justin Timberlake's amazing performance of Suit and Tie! I love the old fashioned sound of it, yet it he makes it sound refreshing and new. I have already listened to it on iTunes at least ten times, but have yet to watch the music video.
Ok before this post gets ridiculously long, what? It already has? Oh well, I have to comment on how they projected images onto Carrie Underwood's white ball gown. She looked so majestic!
And one last word. Congratulations to Goyte and Kimbra (Her Dress!) on winning record of the year! My amazing multi-talented mother predicted that it would win when she first heard it at the beginning of 2012. She has successfully done this in previous years, maybe she should do it for a living!
Comments please!
More,
Amanda
